running those cards on open air frame would need those blower style fans to cool it. The cmp100-210 cards that I have are similar set up with power cable and have them in a server case with the fans at 100% and few cards are getting toasty with the heat here
Maybe the x1 of the PCIe slot is too little bandwidth for the PLX chip switching between the 2 GPUs because there are 2 dies, and you should get 2 GPUs like the gtx 690
Hi hobbyist, about the brackets: they are the same of the quadro series (like quadro m4000). I work with workstations that have multiple slots on the auxiliary fan, where the bracket fits. It spins the air from the back of the gpu (where the power connector is)
Dude your PSU saved your ass…. The power connection on the back of the GPU is CPU style for data centers… The adapter is so you can use two normal PCIE 8 pin cables…. A lower quality PSU would have burned that GPU up.
That's awesome you got it working! Try the 2nd gpu, I could only get one to show all 24gb of ram, I think that one may have a bad gpu die on it.. You have to use the power plug adapter because it takes CPU 8pin, not GPU (they're wired different) I saw someone in live chat saying they saw one working on Salad! that would be cool! I'm just glad they weren't complete duds 😆
AI video upscaling is most likely your best bet.
I guess it will work on GMiner because all gpu work on it, even Radeon HD 5650, and I guess rvn will go on 12 mh/s or more like rx480/ 8gb do
Did you do any more testing on the k80?
What kind of cable is that white cable hooked to the riser
can you give me an updated link to your discord
try it on salad, could work out
The bracket is for mounting in a workstation to help support the card.
These cards are great for chia farming and compressed plots

I guess ur PSU prevented an actual short phreww! K80 if im not wrong, uses a cpu 8 pin not a pcie
Does this gpu work on salad?
Nice to see some testing on a Tesla card
Online it says the K80 requires a full 16x slot, also it should show up as two gpus in hive
Unless you have free power, these old cards will not be profitable. Also, they were designed for server cases not open frame rigs.

BOOM! Bought in at the start of AMS73H with $10k and turned it into a quick $70K profit and got out of there. DON'T GET GREEDY!
Binance listing AMS73H is definitely around the corner is just a matter of time and patience.
