Exploring the Crypto Mining Rig
We start our exploration with a prepped rig for the video. All USB PCI adapters have been unplopped and the rig is ready for action. A keen interest is on the latest GPU risers.com riser that stands out with its modern-day aesthetics – the pristine white appearance, the stylish, functioning clip, and the gold-plated USB. As the power input, this riser has both a six-port for power as well as six port here.
In operation, this rig is driven by the 470s, which many in the mining community will identify with seamlessly. For the purpose of exploration and testing out new cards today, we have the rig powered down.
The New Card on the Block
Our primary focus will be on testing the new card on the block — the G-Force EVGA G-Force GTX 1050 Ti. The aim is to gauge its hash rate for a detailed evaluation. Outfitted with an intuitive feature that negates the need for power other than what it’s getting through the x16 slot, this card calls for a close examination. Once the machine is turned on (after the card is installed), the next course of action is to evaluate the hash rate on the computer.
Hash-Rate Evaluation
Continuing our journey on the computer, we have the Ge-Force GTX 1050 Ti currently running with the micron g ddr5. The card has a flight sheet in place but no overclock settings, making this our first order of business. The goal is to present the community with the hash rate on the default configuration before proceeding to overclock this GPU.
At first, the rig is mining RavenCoin at six Mega Hash on 75 Watts, which isn’t too bad for a four-gig card. To determine the overclock settings, I utilized popular presets already used by others for this card. After certain adjustments, the system rebooted and ready to work more efficiently.
Overclocking and Hash-Rate Enhancement
After the reboot, the new preset significantly improved the rig’s performance in terms of power consumption and overall speed. But there was room for more improvement. Guided by data from ‘What to Mine’—an excellent website for miners—I discovered that I could boost the kapow runs to about 6.1, with some other minor adjustments.
Implementing these changes to the core clock, the memory clock, and the tdp, I initiated yet another reboot to apply these settings. The result this time was a substantial improvement. The rig was now mining almost seven Mega Hash on 75 Watts, running at 150 and 900. Not too shabby, considering that this is a four-gig card.
Final Thoughts and Community Engagement
While these results are impressive, there’s always a possibility of squeezing out more power from the card. This can be achieved with a more critical and meticulously tuned approach. Two methodologies miners can consider are updating the drivers on this card and updating the card’s BIOS. I’ll be posting articles on these subjects in the coming days, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, I’m curious to hear what the rest of the mining community is doing with their 1050 Ti’s. Are you guys mining RavenCoin like me, or are you exploring other options? What kind of overclock settings are you using? I’d be delighted to replicate them and see if I can match your Mega Hash scores.
Also, if there’s a particular miner that you recommend for the 1050 Ti, please let me know. Every card has a sweet spot, not only in terms of the overclock settings but also for the miner that’s used. Some cards perform better with specific miners, so sharing this information will be beneficial to the community.
Lastly, I hope this short video about the EVGA Ge-Force GTX 1050 Ti and the hash rate it gets mining RavenCoin was informative. If you liked the content, please hit the like button, and don’t forget to subscribe for future videos.
What’s this software your using to mine
I have the 1050ti. is it powerful enough to mine bitcoin ?
hi,i m mining the same graphics of nvidia gtx 1050 ti as you shown in video but dont know where to mine to get the most profit out of it…currently i am working at nicehash and mining bitcoin ,my mining hashrate is 19mh/s but with a outcome of 8 rupees per day 🙁 can you help?do u know any website or coin that i should try to mine instead of this bitcoin at nice hash it would be much help if you can tell something about this.thanks 🙂
ETC +ZIL 150 power 500 memory fan auto power 90 % getting 13.4 Mh/s
gtx1660 ——————-> 50Mh!
Im mining with 1050TI 4GB asus rog and the averege hashrate is 12.5MH on dogecoin etchash with unminable
I have a wierd thing going on… When i mine on Windows 10 + T-rex miner with oc settings (+250 and +650) i get 7 – 7.1 MH and that's great. But when i do this on HiveOS + T-rex with same settings i get only around 6.6 MH and after sometimes the rig touches 90° and gets shutdown to cool it. But i am not getting any heating issue on Windows 10. Anybody know why?
As of December 2021 this card is main used for either speculative mining (SHIB via Unmineable) or DOGE. Which just saw a 27% price increase!
Ravencoin/Lite is also profitable. But again; better for the long run.
My Gigabyte 1050 ti 4gb card.
Core Voltage 100%+
CC +225 | 1950~ kind of going up and down
MC +1000 | 4503mhz Micron Memory
PL 90% | Board power draw is almost 97.6W, pci slot power 37.2
TL 70C | Never going beyond 69C
Average hashrate 7.61mh/s
Wonna try to add some thermal headroom but watercooling this bad boy may be outdated.. what about 10 of those instead? that might be interesting.
pls, what is the best wallet to RVN? and for example if I put this Card on a single PC I could use this same setup your using? How many hashs? and what is the best coin I should try? thanks
Gtx1050ti. Trex. Ravencoin lite. Coinminerz. GPU +162mhz. Memory +480mhz. Average hashrate is 8.97mh/s. Peaks at 11.5mh/s. Low is around 5.5mh/s. Temp 64c. With unminable i have average of 13mh/s mining SHIB with the 1050ti.
Based on your own admission in the description in regards to the craze of the prices of GPUs… that tells me you’d rather scalp someone of their money instead OF SELLING IT FOR WHAT YOU paid…. Not gonna buy ANYTHING PC related from you even if you’re selling it for $5… I ABSOLUTELY DESPISE people who resell something for anything more than what you paid for it… you’re one.
I sold my 1050 ti for like 200 on Ebay, now I have a 3070 ti much better.
i have a asus rog strix 1050ti 4gb getting 7.8 mhs pl 100 core voltage 0 cc 80 mem 1000 about 80w with nbminer
nicehash controls it all for easy, no care hashing. my go to because.. i don't want to bother with the info. It's not THE best but it's accurate and easy
I now mine BTCZ but when I mined RVN I would use 160+ 1000+, 78% – was doing about 7.3 – 7.4 MH/s. Changed to BTCZ because RVN mining consumes more power.
MSI Gaming X 1050ti
So far I've been able to power the card from the slot only, no throttle of any kind. Custom curve in MSI AB, as I also use the card on that PC for day to day tasks on Windows.
Card: Palit StormX single fan
Power consumption: 63W
Memory: +700
Memory clock: 4203
Core clock: 1632
Core voltage: 825mV
Hashrate: 6.9-7 on Ravencoin
Fan: 50%, also works with auto at ~42% but the card gets 2-3 degrees warmer.
I was not able to go above 6.3 until I added "-m 3" option on T-Rex for memory timings. I tried memory timings above that, but had little to no effect. That allowed me to drop the frequency from +800 to +700.
With that config I am able to work on that machine, watch YouTube videos, open up some 3d printing slicing software and generally go about my day as usual.
Just started mining, getting about 12.2 mh/s.
Mining ravencoin lite with this card same OC you used
nice. but my MSI Afterburner Gtx1050ti overclock setting. (Core Clock +60, Memory Clock +600, Fan Speed 70, Power Limit 80) i only got 6.2-5.9 Mhs any tips to how to get more hash rate?
I dont get what is the total income in BTC?
NBminer, Core 165, Mem (micron) 2000, Power 90 W (extra 6pin power, yes): 7.5 – 7.8 Mh
Sometimes, i duno, miners stack with zero hashing rate with no errors – machine reboot fix that.
With 75 w and 6.7 MHs it works without stack ( 5 month of rvn mining covered 65% of its price paid in 2017 – have not sold rvn yet, thats why)
So what does that mean? Can anybody tell me how much money I can make by mining with 6mh
Or how much etherum will I mine?
how much money per week
How about phoenix ming?
can u sell this evga 1050 ti card to me .
What drivers are you running? My gpu is causing my rig to crash, I’m looking to change the drivers
how much can we earn per day?anyone
Is it bad for gpu lifespan if i put the fan at full speed for a month or more?
15.5 mh on etc 200 core 1700 mem 70 pl and 70 watts trex miner with current prices that’s a lil more profitable than rvn so I think I’m going to stay on etc
Zotac GTX 1050ti mini
Core clock= +200
Memory clock= +875
Power limit= 90 or 95
Fan speed= auto
This is what I use for ravencoin mining and I get 7+ MH/s …. I use betterhash for mining and I also suggest you to use betterhash give these settings a try if you have GTX 1050 ti mini
i get 12 mh on unmineable for doge eth and etc . gigabyte card
T-rex on HiveOS, 150cc, 1800mem, 80pl, fan 70, card temp is 60 degrees and getting 7.2 to 7.4 MH
here's a look at how it works ; https://youtu.be/knNMIEbjCVg
Interesting. I have 4 1050ti 3 evga 1 dell they all are pretty much equal. Windows/t-rex/afterburner/kawpow hash on almost every coin is 7.2 ish with +150 core +750 mem and 100 Power. thing i noticed though using the kawpow algo vs etc is the pools payout is higher on kawpow by like 2-4 coins depending. Doge for example is about 4 coins higher per day using kawpow vs etchash, which on my pool mines rvn and pays in doge. good alt when 1559 hits and all eth/etc takes adump as projected. nice setup man thanks
I am getting 13.1 Mh on a single GeForce 1050 TI OC 4gig. I used ASUS Tweak III. Download it. I also does multiple GPUs. Settings are: GPU 1565 Mem Clock 7502 Fan 30 temp is 65. Things went so well I bought another one of these cards and put it in. Did some tweaking and with both cards doing RVN getting 26.2 Mh
